Clarification regarding
nomenclature of Pharm.D/Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) on pass certificates was issued
by PCI to All U
niversities/Examining Authorities through a circular dated 08/02/2012.Every student who has passed the examinations for the Pharm.D. (Doctor of Pharmacy) or Pharm.D. (Post Baccalaureate) (Doctor of Pharmacy) as the case may be,shall be granted a certificate by the examining authority.In view of the above statutory provision, it is requested to use “Doctor of Pharmacy” in the provisional as well as final degree pass certificate to be issued by the university in respect of students passing Pharm.D/Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate) from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India u/s 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948.
