2nd National Level Essay Competition on the Occasion of World Pharmacists Day

On the occasion of World Pharmacists Day, Doctor of Pharmacy Association is organising a National Level Essay Competition 2015.

SUBMISSION:

1) Essays should be typed in a Word Document file (.doc) and can be sent in doc or pdf

Format. Formatting should use 12pt Times New Roman, 1.5 paragraph spacing.

2) The length of the essay must not be longer than 1000 words.

3) Essays must be sent as email attachments to dpapharm@gmail.com. The subject/title of the e-mail should be ‘World Pharmacists Day Essay Competition 2015’.

ABMH-PharmaCon 2014 Second National conference

Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital is organizing second national level conference on Pharmacy and Medication Management ABMH - Pharmacon 2014 at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital (Punes first JCI accredited hospital) on 27th and 28th September 2014.

The conference will witness more than 300 participants including speakers and delegates from renowned hospitals The conference will cover various aspects of pharmacist’s role like career opportunities in pharmacy profession, signal detection in pharmacovigilance, importance of pharmacy practice for better patient care, evidence-based use of neutraceuticals, need of pharmacy and therapeutic committee to attain quality patient care, pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety, new regulations of clinical trial, etc. It will cover debates and multidisciplinary panel discussion on key topics. There will be paper presentation sessions on the second day.

India Pharmacists Convention 2014

On behalf of the UDF & Doctor of Pharmacy Association we welcome all the delegates to the 'India Pharmacists Convention 2014^.. The theme of the convention is 'Pharmacist involvement in Country's Health Policy.

The biggest question that we pharmacists have failed to understand the ^“Total black-out of pharmacist's professional service"from the nation's Health Policy document.

Hence, the theme:

"Pharmacist involvement in Country's Health Policy.

The theme has been selected after a very elaborate systematic deliberation with various stakeholders in and out of the profession from all nook and corner of the country. The theme is a well considered one…taking into consideration the prevailing status of the Pharmacy profession in India.

We Pharmacists of our country have already taken initiative "India Pharmacists Revolution Yatra" (Kashmir to Kannyakumari), from Jan-2013 to Dec-2013, we visited each state, across 75 thousand kilometers,met each state Policy Maker, Focused various issues in Media & Met around 5Lakhs 80 thousand Pharmacists, according to our survey Pharmacy Profession not up-to the mark in our country.

The UDF hopes that the theme would ignite the thought process among the participants on the need to consolidate the strength and opportunities available on the one hand and inherent weakness and threats to be addressed.
